Authentication

Description

 

Select the type of authentication method used by your users to connect to the Devolutions Password Server. As best practice we would strongly recommend the use of Domain Authentication method as it can be integrated with Active Directory Group and makes it easier to manage.

Authenticate with domain user

The domain is used to authenticate the user.

Authenticate with Devolutions Password Server custom user

The Devolutions Password Server is used to authenticate the user. You must create the initial user through the console.

Authenticate with local machine user

The application allows a local user to be authenticated on the server.

Authenticate with database user

The database is used to authenticate the user.

Authenticate with Office365 user

AzureAD is used to authenticate the user.

 

Windows Authentication

Enable Windows Authentication

The application will use the current Windows authenticated user to authenticate to the Devolutions Password Server instance.
